1. What material are your kitchens made out of?
   Our panels use a Ultra-High-Performance-Concrete (UHPC) that we have formulated with the best engineers in the concrete industry. It’s formulated to last a lifetime in outdoor environments, including areas with high humidity, high heat, or freezing temperatures. Our Cor-Tuf enhanced concrete has 10x the compressive strength of traditional concrete and has an estimated longevity of 100+ years vs 15-25 years for traditional concrete.
2. How much do they weigh?
   While this would depend greatly on the size of the island, our 2’x3’ panels are typically around 70 lbs and can be moved fairly easily with 1-2 people. A fully assembled 6ft island would typically weigh approximately 700 lbs including all panels, countertops, and appliances.
3. Where are they made?
   Our kitchens are proudly made from scratch in Hurricane, UT. 
4. How are the islands delivered and what will they look like?
   Our islands are shipped on standard pallets and will be delivered to the front of your house. The islands are meant to be removed piece by piece from the pallets so there is no heavy machinery required to lift the full pallet. Your local authorized reseller will do all the heavy lifting for the install. Just tell them where you want it to go.
5. Do you include assembly instructions?
   Yes, each kit will include fully detailed instructions on how to assemble your island.
6. Do I have to assemble the islands myself?
   No. We work with professionals in your area to complete the kitchen assembly. Each dealer performing the installation will have completed our required training courses and will be able to take care of all the heavy lifting and installation.
7. How long will it take to install?
   Most of our kitchen builds will be completed in less than a day. Some kitchens may require additional prep work or may have additional installation requirements such as additional plumbing, gas lines, electrical work, or surface preparation. These additional processes may add more time, but it’s nothing compared to a traditional kitchen build.
8. Can I customize my kitchen or do you only offer certain set-ups?
   We offer both pre-designed and semi-custom options.  our kitchens are very versatile and will fit into almost any area. Your best bet will be to work with your local TOKK dealer to identify the needs of your outdoor living area. If one of our pre-designed kitchens will work with your space, you may end up saving a little money due to some production and installation efficiencies. If you are looking for something custom, we will be able to determine, with you, the best configuration to match your needs.
9. Do I need a building permit for an outdoor kitchen?
   This will depend on where you live and the local zoning requirements of your area. Our kitchens are not considered permanent so they typically do not require a permit. Our kitchens are unlike most “built from scratch” options which are often considered permanent and often require permitting. If you would like to find out, you can contact a local planning/code-enforcement office. They’ll fill you in on whether local building codes require you to obtain a permit.
10. Can the color of the concrete be customized to match my outdoor space?
    Yes, we make our panels and countertops in 7 different colors including a range of browns and greys. We don’t color match as we use integral colors in our concrete, but our colors match most of the needs for most customers. 
11. Are concrete outdoor kitchens easy to clean?
    Yes. Concrete surfaces are easy to clean with mild soap and water. We do not recommend using a power washer as it can leave marks and undesired streaks on the concrete or appliances. Usually, a garden hose works great and dish soap and warm water as needed. Be sure to use stainless steel cleaner to polish up your appliances and cabinetry.
12. Are concrete countertops prone to cracking?
    Normal concrete can be prone to cracking, but not our Cor-Tuf countertops. The key to our countertop durability is that our patented formula makes the concrete impervious to water. Water is what will cause most of the issues with concrete and most concrete is very porous. Ours is not. It’s actually pretty awesome.
13. Can I move my outdoor kitchen if I relocate?
    You can if you want to. Our kitchens are relatively easy to disassemble and reassemble, so you definitely could take it with you. Keep in mind that a quality outdoor kitchen will also increase the value of your property, so you may end up making more money on the sale of your home if you include a sweet outdoor kitchen. You could use that money to re-invest in a new outdoor kitchen for your new home. The choice is yours!
14. Can an outdoor refrigerator run during winter?
    You can keep your outdoor refrigerator or beverage cooler safely stored in your backyard patio or outdoor kitchen—despite living in rainy and snowy locations. An outdoor rated fridge has a stronger compressor, better insulation, and ventilation than other standard refrigerators. In harsh winter conditions, we recommend that it is emptied and unplugged during times when you know it won’t be used it for weeks or months at a time. That way, you know your fridge will have a long life.
