A rectangle fire pit lets guests sit the way a dinner table does. Benches along the sides, the fire running the length between them. Everybody is part of the conversation without crowding around a single point.
Forty-eight by thirty-two is the entertaining size. Big enough for a real gathering, small enough to fit a defined patio. The linear flame works with a modern property the way a round pit works with open land.
What You Get
The clad structure, flat packed. A welded 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum frame in a powder-coated wood-look finish, in several styles and colors. It ships flat packed and bolts together, so there is no mason and no waiting on a trade.
A 20-year warranty. That is the manufacturer's term on the Firefly line, and on a property in constant use it is the number that matters most. Aluminum will not rust and will not rot.
Non-combustible throughout. The cladding looks like wood and behaves like aluminum. Because every finishing material is non-combustible, no insulation is needed anywhere in the structure.
A linear fire. The rectangle runs the flame along the length, which gives better light, better heat spread and better sightlines down both sides, so guests can see each other while watching the fire.
What You Order Separately
The burner system is a separate purchase. This listing is the 48" x 32" clad structure. The burner, ignition and fuel connection are ordered alongside it, sized to whether the property runs propane or natural gas. Tell us which you have and we will help you spec it so the two arrive as one plan.
The 36" x 12" burner pan is optional. Add it here as a variant, or leave it off if your installer is supplying the pan with the burner.
What Takes Real Work
Freight is a separate cost. Delivery is not free and it is not included in the price. Checkout does not collect it only because we do not know your address until you order, and a crate this size gets priced address by address. We quote the real freight for where you are, send it as its own invoice, and it is paid before your fire pit leaves the factory.
Level ground is everything. Sloped or soft ground and the burner will not run right. Concrete, pavers, or a proper foundation. Get it level.
Gas connection should be professional. If you are not confident, hire someone. Getting the pressure and connection right is not a do-it-yourself moment, least of all on a property you rent out.

Rectangle or Round?
Round is the classic campfire, open on all sides, and works in big open spaces.
Rectangle suits modern entertaining, gives you seating on two sides, fits geometric patios better, and is bench-friendly.
Pick rectangle if the property has a defined patio, you want defined seating areas, or you plan to build around it. The flame runs lengthwise, which gives everyone a good view and spreads heat side to side.
Honest About Lead Time
The factory is quoting 3 to 4 weeks from order to shipped. If the size and finish you want is already boxed on the shelf, it leaves within 5 business days, which puts it on your patio in about two weeks. We check with the factory when you order and tell you which of those you are looking at before you commit.

Questions We Hear
Which burner should I get? That depends on whether the property has a gas line or runs tanks, and how much heat you want the fire throwing. Call or text us with what is at the property and we will help you spec it.
Do I still have to finish the outside? No. This is the clad version, so the wood-look powder-coated aluminum exterior is the finish. That is the difference between the Firefly line and the bare ready-to-finish frames, which do need a mason.
Is this better than the 36" square or the 48" round? They serve different purposes. The 36" square is more compact, the 48" round is classic, and this one is best for defined patio spaces and larger groups. Pick based on the space and what you want guests looking at.
Can I move it if I change my mind about placement? Possible, but heavy and awkward. It is meant to be permanent once leveled, so do not plan to reposition it between seasons.
What about drainage? The burner sits inside the structure, so you need a slight slope or drain holes if water pools. Check your site prep before ordering, because standing water is a problem.
Does it take up less space than a round? The footprint is similar. 48" x 32" is 1,536 square inches against 1,809 for a 48" round. But rectangles fit corners and patio lines better, so the space reads differently. Measure the patio.
Will this work on a small patio? Yes, if you have a clear space of roughly 20 by 15 feet. It is not for a balcony. Medium patio is the minimum, with room around it for people and furniture.
What if I want to cook rather than just have fire? This is a fire feature. If you want to cook outdoors, look at the 6 ft and 8 ft grill islands instead.
